Teni allegedly paid $70,000 for a performance

In recent digital waves, the spotlight illuminated the esteemed Nigerian songstress, Teniola Apata, known simply as Teni. Her prominence surged following a captivating performance at the nuptial celebration of the offspring of Beninoise tycoon Haija Rissi Razaq Igue. Initial reports speculated that the matrimonial gala belonged to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's firstborn. However, clarification from the Chief Press Officer of the Kwara state governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, dispelled this notion, asserting that it was, in fact, the wedding of the governor's stepsister's progeny.

Teni, the Nigerian musical luminary, adorned the event as one of the distinguished guest artists. The soirée boasted the attendance of the crème de la crème of Nigeria's elite echelon. Amidst the digital discourse, the revelation that stirred the most reactions pertained to the purported remuneration of a staggering N88 million to Teni for her musical rendition. According to Rafiu Ajakaye, Haija Rissi Igue, the billionaire stepsister of Kwara state governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, resides in Cotonou and is wedded to Saliou Igue, a retired Beninoise Bank CEO. Notably, she holds the status of a billionaire and presides over the Beninoise Oil and Gas Traders Association.

In response to the swirling speculations, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Officer, debunked the claims, emphatically stating, "My name is Rafiu Ajakaye. I'm CPS to the Governor of Kwara State. This is NOT true, please. No son of the governor got married on Saturday in Ilorin or anywhere for that matter. The question of a musician performing or being paid a certain amount doesn't arise, please."
