I didn't congratulate Uzodinma - Achonu

In the aftermath of last Saturday's gubernatorial election in Imo State, Athan Achonu, the candidate from the Labour Party, vehemently denies the swirling rumor alleging his visit to and congratulations for the declared winner, Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress.

In a press release issued on Wednesday through his spokesperson, Chibuikem Diala, Achonu asserts himself as the authentic victor of the election, dismissing any notion of extending felicitations to Uzodimma as mere "wishful thinking that can never happen."

Characterizing the rumor as a "script from the pit of hell" and attributing it to the sinister machinations of a government known for its malevolent schemes, the statement condemns the purported congratulatory visit as "childish and very poorly written."

To dispel any uncertainty, Diala clarifies that Senator Achonu has unequivocally rejected the election results proclaimed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), adamantly calling for a comprehensive review and possible annulment. He emphasizes that Achonu, in collaboration with Samuel Anyanwu (SamDaddy), the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, has jointly communicated their demand for a thorough examination or cancellation of the gubernatorial election results. Diala sternly warns that unless INEC heeds this call, it might incite a public uprising.
